SMR 58 Cucumber seeds prefer warm soil and full sun. They are highly sensitive to frost. Plant seeds in warm fertile soil no sooner than a week after the last spring frost, when the air temperatures consistently average 65-75F. Sow seedlings or 7-8 seeds 1/2" deep in hills 4-5' apart. When 3 leaves are fully emerged, thin to 2-3 seedlings per hill. Cucumbers love heat and cannot endure even a light frost; if cold temperatures threaten, cover the seedlings.
